Job summary

MAIR Group in Abu Dhabi is seeking a Senior Consultant – Data Engineering to design and deploy scalable Snowflake-based data platforms for retail analytics. Qualifications

• 5+ years of Data Engineering experience, preferably in retail or e-commerce.
• Strong hands-on experience with Snowflake Data Cloud.
• Experience with Snowflake Cortex (AI/ML functions, LLM-powered analytics).
• Advanced SQL and Python skills.
• Experience with ETL/ELT tools (dbt, Airflow, etc.).
• Strong understanding of retail data models and KPIs.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Experience with BI tools (Tableau, Power BI, Looker).
• Snowflake or cloud certifications are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement scalable data platforms on Snowflake for retail analytics.
• Build and optimize ELT pipelines for retail data (POS, e-commerce, CRM, inventory, supply chain).
• Leverage Snowflake Cortex to enable AI-driven use cases such as customer segmentation & personalization, product recommendations, and promo analysis.
• Integrate data from multiple retail systems (ERP, OMS, WMS, e-commerce platforms).
• Develop data models for key retail metrics (sales, margins, inventory turnover, basket analysis).
• Ensure data quality, governance, and compliance across datasets.
• Optimize Snowflake performance and cost for large-scale retail workloads.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders (merchandising, marketing, supply chain teams).
• Enable near real-time analytics for inventory and order tracking.
