Job summary

Salt is seeking a senior data engineering leader to build and run a production data platform across multiple markets. You will hire and mentor engineers, define architecture for ingestion, warehouse, and analytics, and ensure a single source of truth for core business metrics.

You will partner with commercial, finance, and product to align metric definitions, governance, and data contracts, delivering self-serve analytics and scalable data products across domains.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in software or data engineering, with 3+ years leading engineering teams.
• Direct experience building and operating a production data platform.
• Strong judgment to lead design reviews and cost tradeoffs.

Responsibilities

• Build and lead the data team: hire, mentor and grow data engineers.
• Own the data platform strategy: ingestion, warehouse, modelling, orchestration, semantic layer.
• Establish single source of truth for core metrics across markets.
