AND YOU ARE

1. Experienced in designing and optimizing database systems, with expertise in PostgreSQL.
2. Proficient in advanced SQL, with at least 5 years of experience querying large and complex datasets.
3. Experience with dimensional data modeling & schema design in Data Warehouses.
4. Knowledgeable about tools like Kafka, ElasticSearch, and BigQuery for data pipelines and analytics.
5. Proficient with data streaming platforms like mParticle, RudderStack, and Segment for automation and personalization.
6. Skilled in BI and visualization tools like Tableau, Looker, or similar platforms.
7. Strong in deploying Infrastructure-as-Code using tools like Terraform.
8. Familiar with the Google Cloud Platform environment and its services.
9. Excellent at communicating with diverse stakeholders, with strong English language skills.
10. Passionate about data-driven growth solutions in a fast-paced fintech environment.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Design and implement the next generation of Pemo’s data infrastructure and analytics.
2. Work closely with engineering teams to create or enhance complex data models.
3. Work with various stakeholders, including high-level management, to understand business needs, document and prioritize requirements, and help them use data effectively.
4. Optimize PostgreSQL performance through indexing, sharding, and schema design.
5. Build and maintain batch and streaming data pipelines critical to daily operations.
6. Collaborate on deployments, data migrations, and system upgrades.
7. Create data infrastructure, ETL processes, dashboards, and reports to support ongoing analysis and monitoring of production performance.
8. Proactively identify gaps in data collection and define processes.
9. Establish and lead data governance, ensuring data quality, lineage, and security.
10. Ensure compliance with regional data residency and regulatory requirements in UAE and KSA.
11. Be involved in the entire data development process, from business understanding to quality assurance and maintenance.
12. Maintain documentation for data systems and processes.
13. Availability for on-call support when needed.
