Job Description

  • Minimum qualifications:
    • Bachelor's degree in Business Management, Real Estate, Finance, Technology, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
    • 6 years of experience negotiating bilateral real estate agreements and managing projects of varying sizes and timelines.
    • 5 years of experience working in Middle-East markets.
    • Experience in data center location strategy or industrial strategy.
  • Preferred qualifications:
    • Experience in power transmission and distribution, telecommunications infrastructure, data center technology, industrial electrical and cooling technology, or related technical areas.
    • Experience with Middle East real estate markets and infrastructure development.
    • Experience in collocation agreements, site selection, real estate evaluation, acquisition, development, construction, utility agreements, energy challenges, clean energy initiatives, and financial modeling.
    • Experience in economic development policy, infrastructure development, agreement drafting, and presentation development.
    • Ability to travel up to 50% as needed.

This role combines deep market knowledge with tech industry expertise to find solutions supporting Google's growth. The team manages vendor and partner relationships, oversees contract compliance, and identifies cost-effective solutions, impacting the business significantly.

As a Data Center Strategic Negotiator, you will identify potential data center locations, establish agreements, and build relationships with landowners, government officials, energy and telecommunications companies, and third-party providers. You will lead negotiations for purchase and service agreements, manage compliance issues, and oversee site development strategies.

Our Technical Infrastructure team develops and maintains data centers and builds platforms to support Google's products, ensuring fast and reliable user experiences.

Responsibilities

  • Lead infrastructure projects with technical teams to identify and pursue new site selection opportunities, including utility connections.
  • Manage the data center site evaluation and selection process, monitor progress, and report on status and financial metrics.
  • Oversee acquisition of data centers and develop agreements with vendors, landowners, and utility providers.
  • Develop strategies for growth at existing sites and manage portfolio development issues.
