Job summary

Bayut & dubizzle, part of the Dubizzle Group, is hiring a Senior Data Analyst - Strategy to collaborate with the Strategy team to improve processes, services, products and software through analytics and drive growth across the business.

You will design executive-level BI dashboards enabling real-time decisions for regional stakeholders, act as the main analytics partner to senior leadership, and lead end-to-end projects from data extraction to strategic recommendations while mentoring juniors.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Statistics; Master’s degree is a plus.
• 6+ years of work experience in a strategy/analytics/sales enabler role.
• Experience working with product in an internet/e-commerce company.
• Experience in e-commerce, internet and/or digital media.
• Proficient in SQL.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel / Dashboard Tools.
• Strong problem-solving skills.
• Excellent analytical and storytelling abilities.

Responsibilities

• Translate complex datasets into actionable growth roadmaps for the Executive Committee and C-suite.
• Identify high-value opportunities in growth, pricing elasticity, and operational efficiency.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to align with company targets.

As a Senior Data Analyst - Strategy, you will work closely with the Strategy team to improve processes, services, products, and software through analysis. You will share a continuous focus on growth with the business leaders and will be co-responsible for building out the dubizzle/Bayut brand.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate closely with the strategy team - translating complex datasets into actionable growth roadmaps for the Executive Committee and C-suite.
• Act as a strategic partner to Senior Leadership, identifying high-value opportunities in growth, pricing elasticity, and operational efficiency.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with the leadership team to align and make sure company-level targets are being met.
• Design executive-level BI dashboards that enable real-time, data-driven decision-making for regional stakeholders.
• Act as main POC between Analytics and Strategy teams, and execute with strong project management skills.
• Lead end-to-end analytics projects from data extraction and modelling to presenting strategic recommendations that directly influence P&L.
• Be able to work autonomously without supervision on complex projects.
• Develop data-driven automation initiatives to optimise business processes and maximise revenue across diverse portfolios.
• Manage complex analytics roadmaps, prioritising competing business requests based on potential commercial impact and feasibility.
• Leverage advanced SQL and Python/R to perform deep-dive analysis on high-volume, multi-source datasets.
• Occasionally do some project management in analytics-heavy projects.
• Facilitate cross-functional collaboration, integrating the analytics function into project kick-offs and top-level strategic discussions.
• Champion data integrity and security, establishing high-standard coding protocols and centralised glossaries to ensure high-quality output.
• Set up processes and SOPs (standard operating procedures).
• Build and maintain a "single source of truth" by unifying data intelligence across fragmented business units and digital platforms.
• Deliver projects within the agreed deadlines or involve other analysts to support to ensure they are met.
• Mentor junior team members, review and validate their output.
