About the role
Out client is seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Analyst with strong analytical capabilities and technical proficiency in Tableau, Apache NiFi, and Oracle PL/SQL. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in transforming raw data into actionable insights and visual stories to support government initiatives and data-driven decision-making across departments.
Duties and Responsibilities
1. Analyze complex datasets to identify patterns, trends, and actionable insights that support business and policy decisions.
2. Design, build, and maintain interactive dashboards and reports using Tableau.
3. Utilize Apache NiFi for automated data flow management and integration between systems.
4. Write advanced Oracle PL/SQL queries for data extraction, transformation, and aggregation.
5. Collaborate with business units to gather requirements and translate them into effective data models and visualizations.
6. Support the development of KPIs, data metrics, and performance monitoring tools across projects.
7. Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and completeness across different systems and reporting layers.
8. Work closely with data engineers, project managers, and policy stakeholders to align analytics with strategic objectives.
9. Document all work including data definitions, logic flows, dashboard usage guides, and update logs.
Candidate Requirements
1. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, or a related field.
2. 5+ years of experience in data analysis, business intelligence, or a similar role.
3. Proven hands-on experience with:
a. Tableau (dashboard design, advanced charts, calculated fields, user filters)
b. Apache NiFi (data pipeline design and orchestration)
c. Oracle PL/SQL (data manipulation, views, stored procedures)
4. Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with attention to detail.
5. Excellent communication skills in Arabic and English (written and verbal).
6. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a high-paced environment.
Preferred Skills:
a. Experience working in government or public sector environments.
b. Familiarity with data governance, open data initiatives, or data privacy regulations in UAE.
c. Knowledge of Python, R, or other statistical tools is a plus.
d. Understanding of Agile project management practices.
