Job description

As a Senior CyberSecurity Technical Engineer, you will build, manage, and operate security technologies in compliance with corporate policy and standards. Ensure security designs meet business requirements and effectively address risks.

In this role, you will:

1. Lead discovery projects and develop high-level designs to meet business needs while prioritizing cyber risk reduction.
2. Manage the cybersecurity technology lifecycle from conception to service operation.
3. Make design decisions aligned with security principles. Coordinate with internal teams to support these decisions and achieve favorable risk reduction outcomes.
4. Create technical documentation for cybersecurity technology designs and operations, and support the development of security standards.
5. Facilitate ongoing reviews of cybersecurity technology designs to ensure alignment with industry best practices.
6. Support diagnosis and resolution of cybersecurity technology issues as a subject matter expert.
7. Build, manage, and operate security technologies in compliance with corporate policies and standards, ensuring designs meet business requirements and mitigate risks.

Minimum requirements:

1. Degree or Honours (12+3 or equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, or Network Technologies.
2. Desired certifications include F5 Certified Professional, PCNSE, and SANS or ISC2 certifications.
3. At least 8 years of experience in Information Technology, Networking, and Cybersecurity.
4. Detailed understanding of Web and Network Security protocols, especially HTTP/HTTPS, and knowledge of OWASP Top 10 and other web security risks and mitigations.
5. Understanding of Infrastructure as Code and Policy as Code development for automating network security configurations.
6. Hands-on experience managing network security technologies such as NGFW, Web Application Firewalls, Cloud proxies, and Certificate management tools.
7. Experience in performing gap analysis on configuration and architecture of Network Security components, troubleshooting performance and configuration issues.
8. Skills in developing remediation plans for vulnerabilities and configuration gaps in Network Security platforms.
9. Ability to communicate technical issues to non-technical stakeholders and a strong understanding of monitoring and testing concepts for Network Security products.
