Job description

Ditto is on a mission to unleash the full power of edge devices by removing all the plumbing required to build amazing applications. We bridge the digital divide by enabling real-time data synchronization—even when internet connectivity is limited or non-existent. Our peer-to-peer technology is trusted by major customers like Chick-fil-A and Delta Airlines, and we also work closely with the U.S. military on mission-critical connectivity solutions. As a fast-growing startup poised for a future IPO, our team is globally distributed, and our core values are trust, communication, and continuous improvement. We celebrate diversity and strive to create a team that encompasses a wide range of backgrounds, skill sets, and perspectives.

About the position:

Ditto aims to expand the internet beyond traditional reach. Our groundbreaking edge sync platform is powered by peer-to-peer database technology that runs on mobile, web, IoT, and server systems, enabling devices to sync data in real-time even without the internet.

We are seeking a Senior Customer Engineer to help our Fortune 500 clients integrate Ditto. You will work closely with highly skilled engineers and developers, encounter many problems, recognize patterns, provide product feedback, contribute to documentation, shape processes, and help guide the evolution of the Ditto product.

Our current customers are high-profile companies and traditionally need face-to-face meetings to fully understand our product.

As a Senior Customer Engineer you will:

  • [50%] Enablement - Help developers get started using Ditto by supporting them with how-to assets, presentations, and whiteboarding sessions on video calls or in person.
  • [30%] Support - Answer questions, triage complex technical issues, troubleshoot/debug on customers' environments, collaborate with engineering, and get issues resolved.
  • [20%] Success - Develop new use cases on Ditto and drive adoption of the Ditto platform.
  • Be the expert on best practices for developing mobile applications using Ditto at scale.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional groups - backend, frontend, dev ops, design, product, sales, and marketing to create a first-class experience for developers.
  • Travel occasionally to meet developers in person and run workshops about developing applications with Ditto (once a quarter).

What you’ll need:

  • Genuine desire to help people succeed with technology.
  • Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal, are critical as you will be working with developers from very diverse backgrounds, as well as with a highly technical engineering team.
  • Familiarity with mobile software and hardware providers is strongly desired.
  • Read and understand stack traces.

Nice to Haves:

  • Experience contributing to open-source projects.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.

Benefits we offer:

  • Stock options.
  • Medical, dental, vision, life, and disability coverage.
  • Flexible spending account (FSA).
  • Flexible vacation policy.
  • 401(k) plan.
  • Office located in Atlanta, GA. Available for team member use.

Come join our remote team and discover the possibilities of your best career!
