Job summary

Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank in Abu Dhabi, UAE seeks a Senior Credit Control Officer to manage documentation, approvals, and security registrations in line with Sharia-compliant templates. You will prepare bilingual facility documents and review all credit instruments to ensure compliance with policies and authorized signatories.

The role requires 7–10 years in banking with 3+ years in credit documentation and operations, and ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Understanding of Credit risk Policies, CCD/ Credit administration functions and Facility structures.
• Understanding of Islamic Banking Asset and liabilities products.
• Tech-savvy with analytical abilities and PC skills.
• Excellent communication in English and Arabic.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Ensure all credit approvals follow the approved Delegation of Lending Authority (DLA).
• Prepare Facility Letters, Facility Agreements, and Security/Collateral documents bilingual in English and Arabic.
• Review executed Facility Agreements and Security/Collateral documents per policies, CCD SOPs, and Sharia guidelines.
• Verify documents are duly executed by authorized signatories and obtain necessary legal opinions.
• Ensure timely registration of collaterals in line with laws and CCD SOPs.
• Maintain and update facility limits, collateral details, EIRC registrations, and risk grades.
• Adhere to CCD-approved SLAs and ensure timely processing with due diligence.
• Support CCD projects and process improvements; collaborate with stakeholders.
