Job summary

ADIB - Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank in Abu Dhabi seeks a Manager - Credit Control to act as the last filter in limit approvals, ensuring compliance with credit policies, product manuals and SOPs. The role covers wholesale, business banking and financial institutions, including syndications.

The candidate will oversee documentation, security files and follow-up actions, supervise workflows, and support relationships managers while maintaining timely processing per SLAs.

Qualifications

• 10-12 years of Banking experience with more than 5 years in credit administration/documentation.
• Understanding of Commercial products/Islamic Banking and related risk implications.
• Strong knowledge of UAE company laws and legal issues in commercial financing.
• Effective communication in English; knowledge of Arabic preferred.

Responsibilities

• Authorize credit limits in systems for all assigned segments after ensuring terms and conditions are met.
• Scrutinize facility documentation and related securities for Wholesale, SME, syndication and FI.
• Prepare/Review of facility and security documentation ensuring terms per approved CA.
• Participate in user testing for system enhancements related to credit control.
• Update systems with credit information such as risk ratings, expiry dates, and collateral details.
• Identify irregularities and ensure proper tracking in relevant systems.
• Prepare documentation checklists for clients within the assigned segment.
• Process release of security requests after approvals and settlements.
• Support Unit Manager in managing resources for Limit Management and Documentation.
• Assist and implement recommendations from Credit Review/Audit.
• Advise Relationship Managers and CCD staff when required.
• Provide maximum support to business partners and maintain SLAs for credit control functions.
• Review and report excess over limits in a timely manner.
• Assist Manager in formulating SOPs for the department.
• Report exceptions to business and Credit Managers monthly.
• Support registering and releasing mortgage with Land department.
