Job description

Currie & Brown is looking for a Senior Cost Manager to join our team in a client-facing role, working on various building projects based in Abu Dhabi.

The successful candidate will support project leaders in delivering high-quality service, achieving successful project outcomes, sharing knowledge across projects, fostering innovation, and reinforcing our reputation as a preferred service provider.

What will you be doing?
  1. Providing accurate cost advice and reporting to clients.
  2. Delivering projects, commissions, and professional assignments.
  3. Leading in setting objectives and priorities, working proactively as part of a team.
  4. Maintaining effective communication to ensure project success; liaising with managers for financial control.
  5. Undertaking cost management services with limited supervision.
  6. Ensuring all work outputs are accurate and timely.
  7. Supporting team leaders in project cost management.
  8. Representing the company professionally, building strong client relationships through meetings, negotiations, and correspondence.
What do you need?
  1. BSc in Quantity Surveying or equivalent.
  2. Membership of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (MRICS).
  3. Pre/post-contract experience from a global consultancy firm.
  4. Experience with large developments such as hospitality, leisure, residential, retail, etc.
  5. Previous Middle East experience is preferred.
  6. Strong technical writing, client-facing, and communication skills.
  7. Well-organized, diligent, proactive, assertive, disciplined, and commercially savvy.
