Job summary

Currie & Brown in Abu Dhabi is seeking a Senior Cost Manager with Pre/Post-Contract experience to join our growing team. You will support project leaders, deliver cost management services and help maintain high standards of service for our clients.

Based in Abu Dhabi, you will work on large hospitality, leisure, residential and retail developments across the Middle East, collaborating with a global consultancy. The role requires MRICS and a proactive, well-organised approach to cost management.

Qualifications

• BSc in Quantity Surveying or equivalent.
• MRICS membership is required.
• Abu Dhabi-based with Middle East experience.
• Experience on large hospitality, leisure, residential or retail developments.
• Strong writing and client-facing communication.
• Well-organised, proactive, commercially astute.

Currie & Brown are looking for a Senior Cost Manager that has experience in Pre/Post-Contract projects to join our growing team in the Abu Dhabi.

As a Senior Cost Manager you will support project leaders in generating a high standard of service delivery, achieving successful outcomes for our clients, capturing and sharing knowledge across projects, enhancing our culture of innovation and reinforcing our reputation as a preferred service provider.

You will be:

• Providing accurate cost advice and reporting to our clients
• Delivering projects, commissions and professional assignments
• Assuming a leading role in setting objectives and priorities, working as a proactive team player
• Maintaining effective communication to ensure all information is available for the successful completion of projects; liaising with other managers to ensure efficient financial control
• Undertaking cost management services with limited supervision
• Delivering all work outputs in an accurate and timely manner
• Providing support to the team leader/service leaders in the cost management of projects
• Representing the company in a professional and diligent manner; meeting, negotiating and corresponding with clients to form strong working relationships

What do you need?:

• BSc in Quantity Surveying or equivalent
• Membership of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (MRICS)
• Previous technical delivery experience gained within a global consultancy firm
• Abu Dhabi-based
• Experience on a variety of large developments such as hospitality, leisure, residential and retail
• Middle East experience essential
• Good technical writing, client-facing and communication skills
• Well-organised, diligent, proactive, assertive, well-disciplined and commercially astute
