Job summary

Grain Cafe LLC in Dubai is looking for a Cost Accountant to manage cost and tax accounting for our coffee shop operations.

You will prepare monthly cost reports, audit purchase invoices against POs and pricing, oversee UAE VAT compliance, and help prepare operational budgets with strong internal controls. Fluent English, advanced Excel and ERP skills are required; Foodics experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field; Master’s preferred.
• 5–10 years of cost and tax accounting experience.
• Hospitality/FOOD&Beverage experience preferred.
• Proficiency in UAE VAT system, including registration, filing and FTA interactions.
• Fluent English, advanced Excel and ERP proficiency.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Experience with Foodics accounting software is a plus.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly cost reports and analyze variances
• Financially audit purchase invoices and verify them against purchase orders and agreed pricing
• Manage the company s tax compliance under the UAE VAT system including calculating and charging VAT managing FTA registration preparing and filing periodic VAT returns monitoring input tax recovery and ensuring full regulatory compliance
• Prepare operational budgets and compare against actual performance
• Implement internal controls and ensure accounting compliance

Qualifications

• Bachelor s degree in Accounting Finance or a related field or higher - Master s is a plus
• 5 10 years of experience in cost and tax accounting
• F B Coffee shop Hospitality preferred
• In-depth specialized knowledge of the UAE VAT system including registration return filing and FTA interactions
• Fluent English advanced Excel and ERP system proficiency
• Strong analytical skills with exceptional attention to detail
• Valid driver s license
• Preference will be given to candidates with experience using Foodics accounting software
