Job summary

UBL UAE seeks a Senior SRM – Contracting & Real Estate to manage a portfolio of UAE corporate clients in contracting, construction, real estate, and property development. You will acquire new clients, nurture senior relationships, and structure banking solutions to drive revenue while upholding risk controls.

The role requires deep UAE market knowledge, an established network across contractors and developers, and strong credit & risk acumen to support funding, guarantees, and trade finance

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, Accounting, or a related discipline; relevant professional qualification is an advantage.
• Minimum 8–10 years of corporate/commercial banking experience, preferably with significant exposure to contracting and real estate clients.
• Mandatory UAE market experience with an established understanding of the local corporate and business environment.
• Proven track record in client acquisition, relationship management, credit origination, and revenue generation.
• Strong existing network and relationships with UAE-based contractors, developers, real estate groups, and related corporates is highly desirable.
• Strong financial analysis and credit structuring skills.
• Good understanding of contracting and real estate financing, working capital, project finance, guarantees, and trade-related products.
• Strong commercial acumen, negotiation, communication, and stakeholder-management skills.
• Ability to manage senior client relationships while maintaining sound credit and risk discipline.

Responsibilities

• Manage and grow a portfolio of key clients in the contracting, construction, real estate, and property development sectors.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with promoters, shareholders, CFOs, treasurers, and senior management of key UAE corporates.
• Identify and originate new business opportunities, including acquisition of new-to-bank clients and expansion of existing relationships.
• Develop and execute client and sector strategies to achieve agreed revenue, asset, liability, and profitability targets.
• Structure and recommend appropriate banking solutions, including working capital, project/development finance, trade finance, guarantees, letters of credit, cash management, and other corporate banking products.
• Prepare high-quality credit proposals, financial analysis, and transaction structures in coordination with Credit/Risk teams.
• Maintain strong understanding of customers' financial performance, business models, project pipelines, cash flows, leverage, funding requirements, and overall risk profile.
• Monitor customer relationships and portfolio performance, proactively identifying early-warning indicators and escalating emerging risks.
