Job summary

Bateel International in Dubai, UAE seeks a Senior Manager – Accounting and Financial Reporting to lead statutory audits, consolidation and monthly statutory records across all entities. The role requires IFRS expertise, especially IFRS 9, IFRS 16 and IAS 41, with responsibility for annual reports for public entities in KSA and CMA/Tadawul disclosures.

Qualifications

• Qualified professional with CA/ACCA/ICAEW or equivalent.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or Commerce.
• SOCPA registration / membership is an advantage for KSA statutory reporting.
• 8–10 years of accounting and financial reporting experience; 3+ years in a managerial role.
• Big 4 / professional audit background with strong statutory audit and group consolidation exposure.
• Hands-on experience in IFRS 9 (ECL), IFRS 16 and IAS 41 Agriculture.
• Experience implementing IFRS 8 Operating Segments and UAE/KSA statutory reporting.

Responsibilities

• Lead statutory audits across all entities, coordinating with external auditors and delivering signed statutory financial statements.
• Own statutory consolidation under IFRS 10 including intercompany eliminations and translation.
• Maintain monthly statutory records with clear audit trails and reconciliations.
• Prepare ECL workings under IFRS 9 with methodology and key judgements.
• Prepare IFRS 16 lease schedules and related disclosures.
• Lead IFRS 8 segment reporting framework and disclosures.
• Coordinate IAS 41 biological assets data and valuation with operations.
• Prepare quarterly interim statements and annual reports for public/listed entities (KSA).
• Advance ICOFR framework and test key controls with finance team support.
• Drive automation across finance ERP workflows and close process.
