Job summary

KBR is seeking a Contracts Manager in Abu Dhabi to oversee post-construction contract management for a major infrastructure programme. The role involves coordinating with procurement, reviewing variations and claims, and ensuring contractual compliance across multiple projects.

Reporting to the Project Lead, you will manage contract administration, resolve disputes, and contribute to the handover and final account processes while maintaining ethical standards and adherence to procedures.

Qualifications

• Experience in contract management for large infrastructure programmes.
• Strong understanding of construction contracts and regulatory requirements.
• Excellent negotiation and communications skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage contractual aspects of multiple projects within a major infrastructure programme.
• Oversee the Supervisions Consultant's Contracts Team to ensure proper administration.
• Administer construction and supervision contracts per Conditions of Contract and project requirements.
• Advise Engineer and Employer on obligations, rights, risks and entitlements.
• Interface with PMC disciplines to meet overall program deliverables.
• Provide guidance on contractual risk management, disagreements and dispute resolution.
• Review payments, variations and claims for compliance with contract terms.
• Prepare and issue contractual letters, notices, determinations and reports.
• Ensure timely issuance of notices to preserve contractual rights and communication protocols.
• Coordinate with commercial and quantity surveying teams on payments and assessments.
• Participate in commercial and contractual meetings and review related documents.
• Review bonds and insurances and comment on changes as needed.
• Assist in developing contracts and procurement strategy, standards and best practices.
