CH2M HILL - Senior Contracts Administrator - Abu Dhabi, UAE

Our Contracts Manager job will provide you with the opportunity to work in a Project Management Consultant capacity on an exciting large scale sour gas development located within some of the largest sand dunes in the world. This project represents a new era in gas development and will set a benchmark for the world gas processing and treatment industry. You should be a self-motivated, detail-oriented professional with a minimum of 15 years experience working within the oil and gas industry and a minimum of five years working within the GCC.


Basic Function & Scope

Assist client in the evaluation of EPC contractor contract comments and in negotiations needed to finalize agreement. Evaluate and recommend subcontractors and vendors and ensure that the EPC contractor utilizes only approved subcontractors and vendors. Administer the EPC contract between client and EPC contractor. Administer the PMC contract with the client on behalf of CH2M HILL. Administer other contracts between client and other contractors which may be put in place by the client related to the execution of the Project.


Key Responsibilities

  1. Assist client in the EPC bid evaluation and contract finalization including:
  2. Maintain a detailed tracking register covering requests for clarification issued to bidders and the status of their responses.
  3. Review and recommend list of vendors and subcontractors proposed by EPC bidders.
  4. Endorse clients findings with respect to priced commercial evaluation.
  5. Assist client in negotiation meetings.
  6. Assist client in preparing recommendations for contract award.
  7. Review and approve EPC contractor Contracting and Procurement Plans and Procedures.
  8. Monitor and ensure compliance with the contract terms.

Basic Qualifications

Key qualifications for this position include:

  1. A bachelor's degree in Engineering or Business Administration from an accredited university with a minimum of fifteen (15) years of relevant experience in the oil/gas industry.
  2. Experience on large-scale oil/gas and petrochemical capital projects.
  3. Experience as a member of an EPC team an asset.
  4. Demonstrated knowledge of contracting and procurement practices and principles applied by major oil/gas companies.
  5. Demonstrated ability to manage Contractual/Commercial activities to preserve owner/client interests.
  6. Experience in composing and managing major EPC contracts.
  7. Experience in managing procurement programs for major EPC projects.
  8. Ability to work within a diverse cultural environment.
  9. Demonstrated interpersonal/teambuilding skills.
  10. Strong written and oral communication skills.
