Job Description
  1. Lead the negotiation and drafting of complex contracts, ensuring all terms align with project objectives and regulatory standards.
  2. Conduct thorough risk assessments of contractual obligations to mitigate potential issues before they arise.
  3. Collaborate with project managers and legal teams to interpret contract language and clarify responsibilities and deliverables.
  4. Oversee contract compliance monitoring, ensuring that all parties adhere to the agreed terms throughout the project lifecycle.
  5. Develop and implement contract management strategies that enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
  6. Prepare and present reports on contract performance metrics to senior management, providing insights for strategic decision-making.
  7. Act as the primary point of contact for external stakeholders regarding contract-related inquiries and disputes.
  8. Stay updated on industry trends and legal developments to ensure contracts remain compliant and competitive.
  9. Train and mentor junior contract engineers, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and knowledge sharing.
  10. Facilitate workshops and meetings with cross-functional teams to align contract goals with overall project objectives.
Desired Candidate Profile
  1. Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Law, or a related field; a Master's degree is preferred.
  2. At least 7 years of experience in contract management within engineering, construction, or a relevant industry.
  3. Professional certifications such as Certified Commercial Contracts Manager (CCCM) or similar are highly regarded.
  4. Proven experience in negotiating high-value contracts with a strong focus on risk management.
  5. Fluency in English is mandatory; additional languages such as Arabic or Spanish are a plus.
  6. Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex contractual terms and conditions.
  7. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively liaise with diverse stakeholders.
  8. Detail-oriented mindset with exceptional organizational skills to manage multiple contracts simultaneously.
  9. Demonstrated ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines without compromising quality.
  10. Proficiency in contract management software and tools, as well as Microsoft Office Suite.
