Job Summary

The Content Editor will craft compelling, engaging, and conversion-driven English marketing copy for various digital platforms including push notifications, newsletters, paid ads, banners, and blogs. This role ensures high-quality, consistent communications aligned with GMG Sports brand tone and SEO best practices, collaborating with marketing, design, and product teams to inspire and inform customers and support purchase decisions. Strong English skills, attention to detail, and the ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced e-commerce environment are essential.

Core Responsibilities

  1. Develop, write, and edit engaging marketing copy for digital platforms for Sun & Sand Sports and Under Armour.
  2. Collaborate with marketing and design teams to ensure messaging consistency and brand voice across all touchpoints.
  3. Research product features, industry trends, and target audiences to tailor copy that drives engagement and sales.
  4. Optimize content for SEO to enhance visibility across search engines and digital channels.
  5. Proofread and edit copy for grammatical accuracy, tone, and brand consistency.
  6. Coordinate with internal stakeholders to align content with campaigns, product launches, and promotions.
  7. Monitor and report on content performance metrics, adjusting strategies to improve engagement and conversions.
  8. Manage deadlines and multitask effectively to support the marketing calendar.

Functional/Technical Competencies

  1. Proficiency in writing and editing English marketing copy, with a good understanding of tone and messaging for e-commerce audiences, especially in sports.
  2. Knowledge of SEO best practices for digital content optimization.
  3. Excellent proofreading skills for grammatical accuracy and tone consistency.
  4. Ability to handle multiple projects while maintaining quality and meeting deadlines.
  5. Skills to analyze content performance metrics for ongoing improvements.
  6. Creative thinking and ability to propose new content ideas.
  7. Understanding of e-commerce promotional strategies, seasonal marketing, and product launches.

Experience

Minimum 2 years of experience in content creation or copywriting for digital platforms, preferably in e-commerce or retail.
