Job summary

Core42, a leader in AI-powered cloud infrastructure, seeks a Senior Container Platform Engineer to deploy and manage Kubernetes/OpenShift clusters across private and hybrid environments. You’ll drive automation, GitOps, and platform reliability while collaborating with security, DevOps, and engineering teams.

You will mentor junior engineers, contribute to runbooks, and enhance observability, security, and performance of enterprise-grade platforms supporting AI workloads.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical discipline.
• 4+ years managing Kubernetes and/or OpenShift at scale.
• Experience in senior engineering roles within platform/infrastructure teams.
• Strong Kubernetes/OpenShift administration, deployment, troubleshooting, and upgrades.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform or Ansible.
• Strong Linux systems administration and scripting skills (Bash, Python, or similar).
• Experience implementing observability solutions using Prometheus, Grafana, Loki, Elasticsearch, or similar platforms.
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Deploy, configure, upgrade, and manage Kubernetes and OpenShift clusters across private and hybrid cloud environments.
• Implement scalable, resilient, and secure container platform solutions aligned with architectural and operational standards.
• Support lifecycle management and operational maturity of platform services.
• Develop and maintain automation frameworks using Infrastructure as Code and configuration management tools.
• Support GitOps workflows, CI/CD integrations, and platform automation initiatives.
• Improve operational efficiency through standardization and automation.
• Implement and maintain monitoring, logging, alerting, and observability solutions.
• Support capacity planning, performance optimization, scalability, and resiliency initiatives.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex platform, networking, storage, and orchestration issues.
• Ensure Kubernetes and OpenShift environments comply with security standards and operational best practices.
• Support secure platform configurations, access management, and operational governance controls.
• Contribute to platform hardening and compliance initiatives.
• Collaborate with architects, DevOps teams, and application teams to improve developer experience and platform adoption.
• Evaluate new technologies and enhancements within the cloud-native ecosystem.
• Contribute to technical documentation, deployment guides, and operational runbooks.
• Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior engineers.
