Responsibilities

• Oversees the clinical activities of junior medical staff and ensures care provided.
• Complies with hospital policies on admissions, consultations, daily patient care, procedures, discharge, and follow-up.
• Leads ward rounds, reassesses inpatients and outpatients regularly.
• Documents clinical information clearly and timely per procedures.
• Reviews investigation results and adjusts treatment as required.
• Liaises with other specialties and support services for input as needed.
• Participates in multidisciplinary meetings to plan safe and holistic patient care.
• Ensures patient preparation for procedures including informed consent.
• Accepts clinically appropriate referrals from various departments and on-call coverage as required.
• Communicates clinical information to patients and families with consent.
• Maintains good working relationships and promotes teamwork in patient care.
