Job description

Job Purpose: Provides outsourced payroll services to clients, managing new and existing accounts to ensure quality service delivery. Acts as the primary point-of-contact (POC) for Mercans and assigned clients during operational processes.

Qualifications / Skills
  • Minimum 5+ years of experience in payroll operations (BAU) within the global payroll industry.
  • At least 4+ years of experience with statutory filings, with the ability to validate their accuracy for assigned countries.
  • Proficient in completing end-to-end payroll calculations in Excel for global clients.
  • Expert understanding of payroll regulations and processes for assigned countries.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to communicate independently with clients.
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or related discipline.

Responsibilities
  1. Manage workload to ensure accurate and timely service delivery.
  2. Recommend improvements to management for efficiency and quality.
  3. Prepare operational reports and address issues promptly.
  4. Ensure timely invoicing as per service agreements.
  5. Handle all aspects of service delivery for assigned accounts.
  6. Act as the POC for operational or service issues.
  7. Deliver services in accordance with standards and contracts.
  8. Address client issues promptly to maintain high satisfaction levels.
  9. Monitor client satisfaction and escalate issues as needed.
  10. Participate in client meetings and communication.
  11. Coordinate with internal teams to resolve issues and improve processes.
  12. Ensure payroll processing accuracy and compliance with legislative changes.
  13. Complete statutory registrations and declarations timely.
  14. Identify and escalate service issues.
  15. Maintain compliance with internal SOPs and legal regulations.
  16. Update internal documentation reflecting latest regulations.
  17. Maintain confidentiality and professional knowledge through ongoing education.
