Job summary

Worley UAE seeks a Senior Construction Supervisor – Structural to lead day-to-day site activities for oil, gas and petrochemical projects, ensuring safety, quality and alignment with IFC drawings and project schedules.

The role requires a Diploma in Engineering and 15+ years in the oil & gas industry, including at least 5 years in GCC; expertise in coordinating interfaces across civil, piping, mechanical and E&I teams for ADNOC projects.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Engineering or equivalent from an accredited institute.
• Minimum of fifteen (15+) years (12 years for UAE Nationals) of experience in Oil & Gas or Petrochemical industry including minimum five (5) years in GCC region.
• Must have at least five (5) years of experience in similar position for major oil & gas / Marine Construction projects.

Responsibilities

• Supervise day-to-day structural construction activities at site, including steel structures, pipe racks, equipment supports, platforms, buildings, foundations, and associated structural works.
• Ensure construction activities are executed in accordance with approved IFC drawings, method statements, specifications, ITPs, and applicable codes and standards.
• Monitor contractor performance, manpower, equipment, productivity, and construction progress against the approved schedule.
• Coordinate structural interfaces with civil, piping, mechanical, E&I, construction, and engineering teams.
• Review construction drawings and identify site constraints, clashes, constructability issues, and technical discrepancies.
• Supervise structural steel erection, alignment, bolting, welding, grouting, modification, and reinstatement activities.

Job PurposeThe Senior Construction Supervisor – Structural is responsible for supervising and coordinating structural construction activities for Oil & Gas / Petrochemical projects, ensuring safe execution, quality compliance, and completion in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, project schedules, and ADNOC requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise day-to-day structural construction activities at site, including steel structures, pipe racks, equipment supports, platforms, buildings, foundations, and associated structural works.
• Ensure construction activities are executed in accordance with approved IFC drawings, method statements, specifications, ITPs, and applicable codes and standards.
• Monitor contractor performance, manpower, equipment, productivity, and construction progress against the approved schedule.
• Coordinate structural interfaces with civil, piping, mechanical, E&I, construction, and engineering teams.
• Review construction drawings and identify site constraints, clashes, constructability issues, and technical discrepancies.
• Supervise structural steel erection, alignment, bolting, welding, grouting, modification, and reinstatement activities.
• Coordinate with QA/QC for inspections, RFIs, punch-list clearance, NCR resolution, and construction completion documentation.
• Ensure contractors comply with project HSE requirements, PTW procedures, lifting plans, working-at-height requirements, and approved construction methods.
• Coordinate material availability and ensure proper handling, storage, identification, and utilization of structural materials.
• Monitor subcontractor activities and ensure adequate resources are deployed to meet project milestones.
• Participate in daily/weekly construction meetings and provide progress updates, constraints, and recovery requirements.
• Support mechanical completion, pre-commissioning, system handover, and final punch-list closeout.
• Ensure proper maintenance of construction records, inspection documentation, red-line drawings, and as-built information.

Qualifications & Experience

• Diploma in Engineering or equivalent from an accredited institute.
