Senior Construction Manager

The Senior Construction Manager is responsible for overseeing the execution of large-scale construction projects from inception to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and in compliance with safety and regulatory standards. This role involves managing multidisciplinary teams, coordinating with consultants and contractors, and ensuring alignment with client expectations. Operating within the UAE's construction laws and local authority guidelines, the role demands leadership, strategic planning, and technical expertise across all project phases.

Responsibilities:

1. Leading the planning, coordination, and execution of construction activities across multiple sites or complex projects.
2. Managing project timelines, budgets, and resources while ensuring adherence to contractual obligations.
3. Supervising site managers, engineers, subcontractors, and labor teams to ensure efficient project execution.
4. Ensuring compliance with UAE construction codes, safety standards, and environmental regulations.
5. Conducting regular site inspections and quality audits to ensure workmanship meets approved specifications.
6. Reviewing technical drawings, BOQs, and progress reports to identify and resolve construction issues.
7. Liaising with clients, consultants, and government authorities for permits, approvals, and project updates.
8. Leading project meetings, preparing progress reports, and maintaining communication with all stakeholders.

Requirements:

1. Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline; PMP or similar certification is preferred.
2. Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in construction management, with at least 3 years in a senior leadership role in the UAE.
3. Proven track record of successfully delivering large-scale commercial, residential, or infrastructure projects.
4. Strong understanding of UAE construction regulations, authority procedures (e.g., Dubai Municipality, ADM, Trakhees), and safety protocols.
5. Excellent leadership, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
6. Proficiency in project management software such as Primavera P6, MS Project, and AutoCAD.
7. Fluency in English is required; Arabic is an advantage.
8. Valid UAE driving license is preferred due to site travel requirements.
