Job summary

Mulk International in Sharjah is seeking an experienced Cost Estimator to prepare accurate cost estimates and proposals for construction and engineering projects by analyzing plans and specifications. You will lead bid submissions, develop detailed cost breakdowns, coordinate with subcontractors, and mentor junior estimators while ensuring timely, competitive, and compliant bids.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field.
5 years of estimating experience in construction/engineering projects.
Proficient with estimating software such as Bluebeam and PlanSwift.
Strong analytical, mathematical, and detail-oriented skills.

Responsibilities

Analyze drawings, specifications to prepare cost estimates.
Lead bid proposals, tenders, and preconstruction budgets.
Develop project cost breakdowns (labor, materials, equipment, subcontractors).
Solicit, review, and negotiate pricing with subcontractors and suppliers.
Conduct quantity takeoffs using digital or manual methods.
Identify risks and value engineering opportunities in project documentation.
Collaborate with project managers, engineers, architects, and clients during the preconstruction phase.
Ensure estimates align with company goals and market trends.
Maintain and update historical cost data and estimating databases.
