Job summary

Dubai Municipality in Dubai seeks a Licensing Officer to review licensing applications for engineering consultancy firms and contracting companies, ensuring compliance with legal and technical requirements.

You will verify licenses, coordinate with authorities, issue professional practice certificates, and maintain accurate records in approved systems. Requires a Bachelor’s degree and 3 years of experience in civil or architectural engineering.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Architectural Engineering required.
• 3 years of relevant experience in licensing or engineering regulatory environment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Review licensing applications to ensure compliance with approved legal and technical requirements.
• Issue licenses for engineering consultancy firms, local contracting companies, and related entities after verification of compliance.
• Coordinate with relevant authorities to approve licensed activities and maintain accurate license data.
• Issue professional practice certificates for engineering personnel and register their details in the professional practice registry.
• Document and maintain records related to technical and engineering personnel in approved systems and ensure ongoing accuracy.

Job description

• Review licensing applications to ensure compliance with the approved legal and technical requirements and regulations.
• Issue commercial, professional, and consultancy licenses for engineering consultancy firms, local contracting companies, branches of foreign engineering consultancy firms, partnership-based engineering offices, opinion engineering offices, branches of local and foreign contracting companies and joint ventures, as well as building materials suppliers and manufacturers, after verifying compliance with all legal and technical requirements.
• Coordinate with the relevant authorities to approve licensed activities and ensure that the data related to issued licenses is accurately updated and maintained.
• Issue professional practice certificates for engineering personnel and register their technical, engineering, and skilled workers in the approved professional practice registry in accordance with the applicable legal and technical requirements.
• Document and maintain all records related to technical and engineering personnel in the approved systems and ensure their continuous updating and accuracy.
