Job summary

Construction Director – High-Speed Rail (Civils & Track) in Abu Dhabi, UAE, leads the civil and trackwork delivery for a multi-billion-dollar programme. You will coordinate civil infrastructure, track systems and depots, ensuring safe, on-time delivery across a complex, multi-stakeholder environment.

The role requires a minimum 18–20 years in large-scale infrastructure with at least 10 years in rail, plus strong leadership, coordination and commercial acumen in JV settings in the Middle East.

Qualifications

• BSc in Civil/Mechanical Engineering or similar discipline.
• Minimum 18-20 years experience in large-scale infrastructure construction and delivery.
• Minimum 10 years in rail projects.
• Proven track record as Construction Director, Senior Construction Manager or equivalent on major rail/infrastructure programmes.
• Experience leading Joint Ventures / international consortiums in the Middle East (UAE/GCC).
• PMP or equivalent certification advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Lead construction delivery of a multi-billion-dollar civils and trackwork package across the high-speed rail corridor.
• Provide construction leadership from mobilisation through handover.
• Direct and coordinate multi-disciplinary construction scope (civil, track, depot interfaces).
• Drive programme, productivity, sequencing, logistics, resources, cost, risk and performance management.
• Maintain robust contract/change control with the commercial team; interface with client and JV partners.
