Job summary

AVA Trade Ltd in Abu Dhabi seeks an experienced Compliance Officer/MLRO to oversee regulatory compliance and AML/CFT framework for an ADGM-regulated broker-dealer. You will lead the compliance and AML/CFT functions, maintain policies, and manage onboarding controls, reporting, and FSRA interactions.

The role requires at least 3 years of direct compliance experience in ADGM/FSRA or DIFC/DFSA regulated firms, broker-dealer exposure, and FSRA/DFSA CO/MLRO approval.

Qualifications

• 3+ years direct compliance experience in ADGM/FSRA or DIFC/DFSA regulated firm
• Experience in broker-dealer, investment firm, CFD/FX broker, securities, or derivatives business
• FSRA or DFSA approval as CO/MLRO is mandatory
• ICA or ACAMS qualification required
• Ability to meet FSRA fit-and-proper requirements for CO/MLRO functions

Responsibilities

• Lead Compliance and AML/CFT functions in line with ADGM and FSRA requirements
• Act as Compliance Officer and MLRO, subject to FSRA approval
• Maintain compliance and AML policies, risk assessments, and internal controls
• Develop and execute the annual Compliance Monitoring Programme and remediation
• Oversee client onboarding and sanctions, CDD/EDD, and reporting
• Provide regulatory guidance to management and business functions
• Ensure Conduct of Business requirements, including client classification and communications
• Manage regulatory reporting and FSRA interactions
• Coordinate regulatory inspections and remediation of findings
• Monitor regulatory developments and implement changes
• Prepare regular Compliance and MLRO reports for senior management and Board
• Deliver compliance training and foster a strong culture of compliance
