Job summary

ADIB - Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank in Abu Dhabi is seeking a Senior Compliance Monitoring Officer to support the execution of compliance monitoring reviews and provide assurance on control effectiveness.

The role covers planning, scoping, fieldwork and reporting for assigned reviews as per the Annual Compliance Monitoring Plan, with emphasis on timely feedback, escalation of breaches, and maintaining records in the GRC system.

Qualifications

• Knowledge and experience in scoping, designing and conducting risk reviews.
• Knowledge of CB UAE rules and regulations.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English and Arabic is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Provide timely feedback on findings to stakeholders during reviews.
• Ensure breaches are identified, escalated and logged in the GRC system.
• Agree timely action plans to mitigate risks identified during reviews.
• Adhere to SOPs, completing PRC documents and work papers.
• Maintain records on the department shared drive.
• Perform other duties as assigned by Line Manager/Head of CMAT.

Job Description:

Role : Senior Compliance Monitoring Officer

Location : Abu Dhabi

Role Purpose:

The Senior Compliance Monitoring Officer assists in the execution of compliance monitoring reviews of the First Line of Defense to provide assurance on the effectiveness of compliance controls. The Senior Officer Compliance Monitoring assists in the planning, scoping, fieldwork and reporting for assigned compliance reviews as per the Annual Compliance Monitoring Plan.

Key Accountabilities of the role

1. Provide timely feedback on findings to stakeholders during the process of performing compliance reviews.

2. Ensuring that compliance breaches are identified, escalated and logged in GRC system.

3. Agreeing realistic and timed action plans mitigate the risks identified during compliance monitoring reviews.

4. Adhering with the Compliance Monitoring SOP including completion of the Process, Risks and Controls (PRC) document and Work Papers.

5. Maintaining all relevant records on the departments shared drive

6. Any other duties or tasks as assigned by the Line Manager/ Head of CMAT.

• Timely and accurate completion of assigned reviews

• Complete and accurate record-keeping

Specialist Skills / Technical Knowledge Required for this role:

• Knowledge and experience of scoping, designing, developing and conducting risk reviews

• Knowledge CB UAE rules and regulations.

• Bilingual English and Arabic Speaker is an advantage

• BA/BSc or higher degree in business (MBA), finance or any other related subject
