Job summary

Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank in Abu Dhabi is seeking a Senior Compliance Monitoring Officer to support execution of compliance monitoring reviews and provide assurance on the effectiveness of controls. The role covers planning, scoping, fieldwork and reporting in line with the Annual Compliance Monitoring Plan.

The ideal candidate will have knowledge of UAE CB rules, bilingual English/Arabic is an advantage, and a BA/BSc (or higher) in business or finance.

• Knowledge and experience of scoping, designing, developing and conducting risk reviews.
• Knowledge CB UAE rules and regulations.
• Bilingual English and Arabic speaker is an advantage.
• BA/BSc or higher degree in business (MBA), finance or related subject.
• Ability to build constructive and effective relationships with peers and seniors.
• Strong analytical, written and oral communication skills.
• Team player.

Responsibilities

• Provide timely feedback on findings to stakeholders during compliance reviews.
• Ensure compliance breaches are identified, escalated and logged in the GRC system.
• Agree realistic and timely action plans to mitigate risks identified during reviews.
• Adhere to the Compliance Monitoring SOP including completion of PRC documents and Work Papers.
• Maintain all relevant records on the department's shared drive.
• Perform any other duties as assigned by the Line Manager/Head of CMAT.

Role : Senior Compliance Monitoring Officer

Location : Abu Dhabi

Role Purpose: The Senior Compliance Monitoring Officer assists in the execution of compliance monitoring reviews of the First Line of Defense to provide assurance on the effectiveness of compliance controls. The Senior Officer Compliance Monitoring assists in the planning, scoping, fieldwork and reporting for assigned compliance reviews as per the Annual Compliance Monitoring Plan.

Key Accountabilities of the role

1. Provide timely feedback on findings to stakeholders during the process of performing compliance reviews.
2. Ensuring that compliance breaches are identified, escalated and logged in GRC system.
3. Agreeing realistic and timed action plans mitigate the risks identified during compliance monitoring reviews.
4. Adhering with the Compliance Monitoring SOP including completion of the Process, Risks and Controls (PRC) document and Work Papers.
5. Maintaining all relevant records on the departments shared drive
6. Any other duties or tasks as assigned by the Line Manager/ Head of CMAT.
