Job summary

Black Swan Group in Abu Dhabi seeks a senior Compliance Officer & MLRO to lead regulatory licensing and AML/CTF oversight for digital asset activities. You will coordinate with FSRA, DFSA and VARA, prepare governance documents, and manage regulatory filings.

The role requires extensive experience as an Approved Person/MLRO, deep FSRA/DFSA knowledge, and the ability to implement risk-based compliance programs across crypto products and services.

Qualifications

• University degree in law, compliance, finance, risk management or related discipline.
• Experience as a compliance professional with exposure to virtual assets or crypto exchange activities.
• Prior roles as Approved Person, Compliance Officer or MLRO in a regulated environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end licensing, authorization and variation of permissions with FSRA/DFSA and VARA for digital asset activities.
• Act as regulatory liaison for license applications, submissions and supervisory engagements.
• Develop and oversee AML/CTF frameworks, governance documents and Approved Person submissions.
• Coordinate responses to regulatory queries, inspections and information requests.
• Maintain ongoing license compliance, commitments and supervisory action plans.
• Serve as primary contact with FSRA/DFSA for compliance matters and regulatory reporting.
• Oversee crypto-specific AML controls including blockchain analytics and transaction monitoring.
