Job summary

Tanqeeb is seeking an experienced compliance professional to own the compliance function within a growing commodities trading business in Abu Dhabi. You will partner with trading, procurement, finance, risk and operations to identify risks and ensure frameworks support commercial objectives.

This role requires a commercially minded, autonomous leader who can provide practical guidance, implement effective controls, and build strong relationships with stakeholders across international markets,

Qualifications

• Provide practical compliance guidance across trading, procurement, finance and operational teams.
• Identify and assess compliance and business risks, implementing effective controls and solutions.
• Support international trading activities, ensuring compliance processes align with business objectives.
• Build strong relationships with key stakeholders and provide proactive compliance advice across the organisation.

• Proven compliance experience within a commodity trading house, agribusiness, energy trading, shipping or a similar international trading environment.

• Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and make sound compliance decisions without constant supervision.
• Experience supporting trading activities, including exposure to hedging, physical trading or related commercial operations.
• Additional language skills such as Arabic, Portuguese or French are advantageous, although strong English speakers will also be considered.
