Overview of the Role

As a key driver of communications excellence for Al-Futtaim’s Automotive Division, the Senior Communications Manager plays a pivotal role in developing and delivering integrated campaigns that enhance internal alignment, strengthen brand reputation, and support business growth.

Reporting to the Communications Lead - Automotive, this role goes beyond content creation — it involves strategic internal and external communications planning, cross-channel execution, and data-driven evaluation. From shaping narratives and driving employee engagement to leveraging AI-powered tools for insights and efficiency, this role suits a dynamic communicator with strong creative instincts, business acumen, and a passion for innovation.

Key Accountabilities

  • Develop and lead integrated communications campaigns aligned with business priorities — including product launches, executive visibility, employee engagement, and cultural transformation.

  • Collaborate with HR and business leaders on internal initiatives (e.g., leadership messages, recognition campaigns, employee activations, and internal events).
  • Partner with brand teams, digital leads, and agency partners to shape campaign strategies that deliver measurable impact.
  • Craft content and messaging across formats and platforms (intranet, newsletters, social, media, internal video, townhalls) tailored to target audiences.
  • Manage internal communications calendars, editorial plans, and key moments across the Automotive business.
  • Coordinate cross-functional inputs and timelines for seamless campaign delivery.
  • Leverage AI-powered tools to enhance content creation, performance tracking, and process optimisation.
  • Support the management of social media channels, balancing divisional visibility with brand storytelling.
  • Track and report campaign performance — including employee engagement metrics and media value — and apply insights for continuous improvement.
  • Uphold brand and communications standards across all outputs and internal touchpoints.
  • Multi-channel campaign plans aligned with business and cultural priorities
  • Strategic messaging and content assets tailored to both internal and external audiences
  • Internal communications toolkits and templates for scalable use across business units
  • Performance reports with clear ROI metrics (e.g. employee reach, engagement rates, media value)
  • Ownership of select internal and external campaigns with high business impact

Required Skills to Be Successful

  • Internal communications strategy and storytelling
  • Employee engagement and campaign development
  • Strong writing, editing, and interpersonal communication
  • Fluency in AI and digital tools (e.g., intranet CMS, content generators, analytics)
  • Insight generation and impact measurement
  • Creative yet strategic thinking
  • Results-driven, with strong business understanding
  • Excellent collaboration and influencing skills
  • High attention to detail and ownership mentality
  • Agility in a fast-paced, transformation-focused environment

  • Minimum 5–10 years of communications experience, including internal communications, campaign development, and stakeholder engagement — preferably in a multinational or agency setting; automotive sector experience is an advantage
