Job description

Fluent in Arabic and English, the Senior Communications Manager is responsible for the overall day-to-day management of retainer and project-based clients including the development and execution of communication plans and programs, coordinating with other support team members to ensure the successful completion of each task, being the primary point of contact with clients, providing basic strategic advisory and consultancy, conceptualizing and implementing creative ideas, and supervising communications specialists to ensure that work is being implemented ethically and according to TRACCS standards, systems and procedures.

The Senior Communications Manager should be able to independently manage the day-to-day requirements of all his/her accounts and must meet with the clients on a weekly/bi-weekly basis to review progress on plans, brainstorm on new ideas and tactics and plan for future tasks.

Desired Candidate Profile

The Senior Communications Manager should have:

  • At least 5 years of experience in the communications profession of which 2 years were at a managerial position, with a track record for successfully managing multiple accounts
  • The ability to deliver a range of high-quality services consistently to clients across multiple sectors and with acute attention to detail
  • The ability to develop or support with the development of communications strategies for clients
  • Strong verbal and written communications in Arabic and English, critical thinking and research skills
  • Strong decision-making skills, a sense of diplomacy and the ability to earn the trust of his/her colleagues and clients
  • The necessary temperament and expertise to work in high pressure situations
