We are seeking an accomplished and strategic Senior Commercial Director / Head of Department to oversee our commercial operations and drive the success of our portfolio of brands across Lovin’ Smashi and Odeum Content Studio including Lovin Dubai, Lovin Riyadh, Lovin Cairo, Smashi Business, and Smashi Sports. This leadership role focuses on three core pillars : spearheading business development with a focus on agency partnerships, managing and inspiring a high-performing team and department, and shaping the vision, strategy, and commercial output of the company. The successful candidate will maximize revenue, identify growth opportunities, and ensure operational excellence while aligning with Augustus’ mission to lead as a ‘New Media’ innovator in the Middle East.

Job Description

1. Business Development & Agencies

Identify and secure profitable business opportunities, with a strong emphasis on building and nurturing relationships with agency partners, vendors, and distributors.

Leverage in-depth knowledge of company offerings to drive partnerships and expand market presence.

Lead the preparation of compelling proposals and documentation for requests for proposals (RFPs).

Research emerging trends and recommend innovative offerings to meet client and market demands.

2. Managing Team and Department

Lead, mentor, and manage a diverse team, fostering a high-performance culture aligned with Augustus’ core values.

Set and monitor SMART performance objectives in collaboration with team members and senior leadership.

Oversee departmental operations, ensuring efficiency, accountability, and continuous improvement.

Promote Augustus as a top-tier workplace, championing positivity and team readiness to deliver exceptional results.

3. Vision, Strategy, and Company Commercial Output

Develop and execute long-term commercial strategies to drive revenue growth and market leadership.

Collaborate with marketing and sales leaders to align market research, campaigns, and operational efforts with company goals.

Assess and optimize marketing, sales, and supplier operations to enhance commercial performance.

Requirements

8-12 years of progressive experience in business development, sales, marketing, or a related field, with a focus on media or agency environments.

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Finance, or a related discipline (Master’s degree advantageous).

Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and data analysis tools.
