Job summary

Parsons in Abu Dhabi is seeking a highly experienced Commercial/Contracts Lead to oversee the commercial governance of major infrastructure projects, from procurement through close-out, ensuring cost control, risk management and effective contract administration.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree and 15+ years of relevant experience with large-scale projects, preferably in the UAE or GCC, and strong negotiation and reporting skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent.
• 15+ years of commercial/contract management experience on major infrastructure projects.
• Experience delivering large-scale infrastructure or utility projects; GCC/UAE exposure preferred.
• Demonstrated procurement, contract administration, cost management, change and claims experience.
• Strong knowledge of FIDIC and other standard forms of contract.
• Excellent commercial judgement, negotiation, analytical, and reporting skills.
• Strong written and spoken communication and stakeholder management abilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead the commercial and contractual management of major infrastructure projects from procurement through to project close-out.
• Establish and maintain commercial governance, controls and contract administration processes.
• Manage procurement activities, including tender documentation, BOQs, tender evaluations and contract awards.
• Support development and assurance of project cost estimates, budgets and forecasts.
• Manage variations, claims, payments and final accounts per contractual requirements.
• Identify and manage commercial risks and opportunities and prepare reports and recommendations.
• Build and mentor the commercial team and promote best practice.
