Job Description:
Senior Commercial and Contracts Manager
Abu Dhabi, UAE
Parsons is looking for a Senior Commercial and Contracts Manager to join our team. In this role you will perform post contract commercial and contracts lead for one of our major programmes.
What You'll Be Doing:
Take care of the commercial and contractual aspects of the project/ programme.
Finalize the Contractor’s monthly payment certificates.
Make sure that all cost and quantity records are streamlined and kept in order.
Lead the change control process, including issuance of Variation Instructions.
Manage a team of direct Quantity Surveyors or third party cost consultants.
Lead in the assessment of Variation Orders, including quantifications and the evaluation of unit rates for new work items.
Establish the way of recording the details and monitor the day works recording and process.
Lead in the evaluation of claims.
Advice on contractual matters.
Ensure completeness and validity of all contractual requirements.
Advise on contractor’s resource allocation.
Oversee cost reporting function, both internally and externally
Monitor contracts final cost estimates.
Prepare Final Account with all supporting documentation.
What Required Skills You'll Bring:
Bachelor’s degree in quantity surveying.
Minimum 15 years demonstrable experience in all aspects of quantity surveying and commercial management
Proven experience in analyzing contract variations and claims.
Excellent written contractual correspondence and verbal communication skills in English.
What Desired Skills You'll Bring:
Qualified and chartered by a recognized international body such as Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) or Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (CIArb) will be an added advantage.
Prior related work experience in infrastructure projects in the middle east.
Experience with FIDIC form of contract.
Experience working for a Consultant providing internal and external advice.
Ability to work autonomously.
