Job summary

KBC Technologies is seeking a highly experienced Cohesity NetBackup Engineer to support enterprise backup, cyber recovery, and data protection operations in a large-scale IT environment in Abu Dhabi. The role requires deep expertise across Cohesity NetBackup, cloud backups, DR planning, and enterprise infrastructure to ensure business continuity.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years of experience in Enterprise Backup, DR, and Data Protection environments.
• Strong hands-on expertise with Cohesity NetBackup and/or Veritas NetBackup platforms.
• Experience managing Alta Data Protection, Alta View, and Alta Recovery Vault solutions.
• Deep understanding of backup, restore, DR, cyber recovery, RTO, and RPO concepts.
• Experience supporting VMware and Hyper-V environments.
• Strong knowledge of SQL Server, Oracle, Exchange, and enterprise file systems.
• Experience with Data Domain, StoreOnce, Tape Libraries, SAN, and NAS storage technologies.
• Strong expertise in Microsoft Azure infrastructure and cloud services.

Responsibilities

• Administer, maintain, and optimize Cohesity NetBackup and Veritas NetBackup environments.
• Design and implement enterprise backup, restore, DR, and cyber recovery solutions.
• Manage and support Alta Data Protection, Alta View, and Alta Recovery Vault platforms.
• Perform backup policy configuration, scheduling, monitoring, and reporting.
• Execute backup validation, restoration testing, and disaster recovery exercises.
• Monitor RTO and RPO compliance.
• Support VMware and Hyper-V backup environments and virtualization protection strategies.
• Manage backup and recovery for SQL Server, Oracle, Exchange, and enterprise file systems.
• Administer storage infrastructure (SAN, NAS, Data Domain, StoreOnce, tape libraries).
• Troubleshoot complex backup issues and provide advanced L3/L4 support.
• Root-cause analysis and preventive measures for recurring issues.
• Support cloud-based backup and recovery in Microsoft Azure.
• Maintain documentation and runbooks.
• Collaborate with infrastructure, cloud, storage, and cybersecurity teams.
