Job summary

GDIT in the United Arab Emirates is seeking an experienced cloud engineer to design, develop, and maintain cloud-native applications using Node.js and React.js, with a focus on secure, scalable AWS-based platforms.

You will implement infrastructure-as-code with Terraform or AWS CDK, build CI/CD pipelines, troubleshoot Linux systems, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deploy workloads across AWS services such as Lambda, EC2, S3, API Gateway, and IAM.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience with AWS cloud computing.
• Proficiency in Node.js and JavaScript/TypeScript.
• Experience building and maintaining React.js front-end applications.
• Strong knowledge of Linux fundamentals.
• Practical experience designing and deploying solutions in AWS.
• Hands-on experience with Terraform or CDK.
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools like GitLab, GitHub Actions, AWS CodePipeline, or Jenkins.
• Understanding of RESTful APIs and event-driven patterns.
• Must be a US Person and able to obtain Public Trust clearance.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain cloud-native applications using Node.js, React.js, and related frameworks
• Implement infrastructure-as-code using Terraform or AWS CDK
• Build and deployment of pipelines and platform operations
• Perform Linux-based troubleshooting and root-cause analysis
• Implement secure-by-design patterns and participate in compliance/hardening tasks
• Collaborate with teams deploying and operating workloads using AWS services such as Lambda, EC2, S3, CloudWatch, API Gateway, VPC, and IAM
• Collaborate with UI/UX designers, cloud engineers, architects, and DevOps teams
