Job summary

Scorewarrior, an independent game studio behind Total Battle, seeks a Senior Security Engineer for Limassol, Cyprus. You will design and implement security for cloud infrastructure, collaborating with DevOps and development teams to embed security by default.

You bring hands-on experience in platform security, cloud environments (GCP/AWS/Azure), and a strong architecture mindset to drive secure outcomes with automation. Onsite role with full relocation and visa support.

Senior Security Engineer — Limassol, Cyprus | Onsite | Full relocation support

Hands-on security engineering — you design and build solutions yourself, working side by side with Infrastructure, DevOps, and development teams.

What you'll do

• Strengthen cloud and infrastructure security in practice: secrets management, audit logging, controlled production access.
• Close high-impact risks — start from an honest assessment of the current state and build a clear picture of gaps as you go.
• Work secure-by-default: remove the security burden from teams through automation and platform-level solutions, not rules and manual procedures.
• Get into what Infrastructure, DevOps, and development teams are building right now, understand it from the inside, and make security part of it.

What you bring

• Real experience building platform and infrastructure security — you've designed and implemented solutions yourself (not just audited or monitored them), and can walk through the architecture, the decisions, and what you'd change.
• Cloud security as your core strength, with recent hands-on experience securing cloud environments.
• A strong infrastructure background — from security engineering, or a move in from DevOps, SRE, sysadmin, or network engineering. What matters: architecture-first, engineer's thinking.
• The ability to make risk real to technical teams through evidence, architecture, and concrete scenarios — not frameworks in theory.
• English and Russian language at least B2 level or higher.

AppSec, SIEM, and SOC experience are useful but secondary.

Nice to have

• Infrastructure-as-Code in practice.
• Container and Kubernetes security.
• Scripting/automation as a habit — Python, Go, or Bash.
• GCP specifically (our stack) — strong AWS/Azure experience translates well.
• Experience securing AI tool usage.

Not a fit if

• Your current focus is monitoring, alert triage, or incident analysis.
• Your specialization is threat research, malware analysis, cryptography, or lab-style security.
• Your recent work is mostly policies, compliance docs, and audits.
• You're looking for a management track or to own a security function right now (we're hiring that role separately).
