Job summary

Uasmart is seeking a Technical Manager – Civil Engineering to lead contractor technical office operations for major UAE projects. You will bridge design management, consultant approvals, authority clearances, subcontractor coordination, and site execution.

The role requires 10–15 years in civil engineering, with at least 5 years in the UAE, and proven experience with large-scale/high-rise projects in a main contractor setting.

Qualifications

• B.Sc. in Civil Engineering (required).
• 10–15 years of professional experience (required).
• 5+ years UAE experience (required).
• Contractor/main contractor background (preferred).
• Experience with large-scale and high-rise projects (required).
• Hands-on with UAE authority permitting portals (required).
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, Navisworks (required).
• Experience with ETABS and SAFE (required).

Responsibilities

• Lead technical office activities including shop drawings, design reviews, and method statements.
• Identify value engineering opportunities and develop cost-effective constructability solutions.
• Manage end-to-end NOCs and statutory clearances with UAE authorities.
• Coordinate authority approvals with DM, DDA, RTA, DEWA, Abu Dhabi Municipality, and Civil Defense.
• Manage consultant and subcontractor technical interfaces.
• Resolve RFIs, DQs, and TQs.
• Review and approve subcontractor MARs and technical proposals.
• Direct BIM teams across LOD 300–LODs 500 inclusive.
