Basic Function and Scope:

  • Monitor construction activities to meet project technical requirements within the cost and schedule targets set by the company.

Responsibilities:

  • Supervise the construction team during site construction to ensure quality installation that meets performance parameters outlined in the Statement of Requirements, within the project’s cost and schedule targets.
  • Coordinate, oversee, and follow up on offshore structural activities.
  • Pursue the HSE objectives as defined by hierarchical superiors.
  • Ensure compliance with the Company Management System and applicable International Standards.
  • Monitor construction activities, including pre-commissioning, as required.
  • Ensure completion of all construction and pre-commissioning activities for an efficient handover to the commissioning team.
  • Follow up on contractors/subcontractors' progress and reporting.
  • Provide KPI data for reporting to the Construction Manager.
  • Report weekly on offshore construction activities.
  • Participate in risk analysis to ensure optimal performance of works.
  • Contribute to engineering and procurement processes by providing construction inputs.
  • Participate in kickoff and pre-job meetings as per company standards.
  • Attend offshore technical meetings (weekly and monthly) with contractors/subcontractors.
  • Monitor offshore cost and schedule adherence and report accordingly.
  • Perform any other duties assigned by superiors.
  • Act as an active member of the project team, managing construction interfaces through collaboration, coordination, and alignment of strategies and planning.
  • Serve as the construction interface from project inception to the start of field execution.
  • Ensure all actions and services by the contractor comply with the respective agreement with the customer.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Experience with PMC & ADNOC projects is preferable.
  • Diploma in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, Environmental, Chemical, IT, Computer, Electronic, etc.) or equivalent, with relevant oil & gas experience.
  • Relevant experience in the petrochemical industry within the GCC region.
  • Experience in similar roles for major oil & gas/marine construction projects in the GCC region.
