Job summary

WSP Global Inc. in Abu Dhabi seeks a Construction Manager (Civil / Landside Utilities) to direct civil and utility construction for Abu Dhabi Ports projects, ensuring safety, schedule, budget, and quality.

You will lead on-site teams and subcontractors, manage procurement and logistics, and coordinate with clients, design engineers, and internal stakeholders to resolve technical and contractual issues. A Civil Engineering degree and 15+ years' experience are required; UAE regs familiarity and

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• 15+ years of experience in civil and landside utility projects.
• Knowledge of Abu Dhabi Ports regulations and local construction codes.
• Proven track record delivering large-scale projects safely, on schedule, and within budget.
• Leadership and team management with strong communication.
• Proficiency in Primavera P6, MS Project and BIM tools.
• Professional licensure or UAE registration is an advantage.
• English fluency; Arabic language skills are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and supervise civil infrastructure and landside utilities at Abu Dhabi Ports sites.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards, Abu Dhabi Ports regulations, and project specs.
• Develop and maintain construction schedules; monitor progress and implement corrective actions.
• Control budgets, track expenditures, and optimize costs.
• Lead subcontractors and on-site teams, fostering collaboration and performance.
• Conduct quality inspections and enforce QA/QC.
• Liaise with clients, design engineers, and stakeholders to resolve issues.
• Prepare and present progress reports, risk assessments, and metrics to management.
• Oversee procurement, material handling, and logistics.
• Maintain documentation, record-keeping, and handover for close-out.
