Job summary

WSP Middle East Limited – Dubai Branch is seeking a Construction Manager (Civil / Landside Utilities) to direct all civil and utility construction on Abu Dhabi Ports projects. You will ensure safety, on-time delivery, and quality while meeting contractual and regulatory requirements.

The role requires 15+ years in civil/landside utility management, leadership of on-site teams, and strong knowledge of Abu Dhabi Ports regulations. Proficiency in Primavera P6, MS Project, and BIM tools is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• Master’s degree preferred for advanced project oversight.
• Professional licensure (e.g., PE) is an advantage.
• Minimum 15+ years of civil/landside utility project experience.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and supervise all civil infrastructure and landside utility construction activities on Abu Dhabi Ports sites.
• Ensure strict compliance with safety standards, Abu Dhabi Ports regulations, and project specifications.
• Develop and maintain detailed construction schedules, monitoring progress and implementing corrective actions as needed.
• Control project budgets, track expenditures, and drive cost‑effective solutions without compromising quality.
• Manage and mentor subcontractors and on‑site teams, fostering a collaborative and high‑performance work environment.
• Conduct regular quality inspections and enforce QA/QC procedures.
• Liaise with client representatives, design engineers, and internal stakeholders to resolve technical and contractual issues.
• Prepare and present progress reports, risk assessments, and performance metrics to senior management.
• Oversee procurement, material handling, and logistics to ensure timely availability of resources.
• Implement and maintain robust documentation, record‑keeping, and handover processes for project close‑out.
