Job summary

Larsen & Toubro in Abu Dhabi seeks an experienced Civil Engineer to lead civil, structural, and geotechnical work for Utility-Scale Solar PV and BESS projects. You will oversee site assessments, conceptual layouts, and detailed designs, ensuring safety, cost-effectiveness, and compliance with local standards.

The role requires hands-on field execution, strong coordination with construction teams, and a commitment to QA/QC across pile driving, foundations, and equipment supports.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering.
• 8–12 years of site execution experience on utility-scale projects.
• At least 2 years direct field execution on Solar PV/BESS projects.

Responsibilities

• Monitor the layout, installation, and load-testing (pull-out tests) of driven or screw piles for solar racking and tracking systems.
• Direct the reinforcement, formwork, and concrete pouring for heavy equipment foundations, including BESS containers, inverters, and transformers.
• Conduct field inspections and witness tests (soil compaction, concrete slump/cube tests, pile alignment) against the QA/QC plan.
• Enforce company and regulatory health, safety, and environmental protocols across all civil execution activities.
