Job summary

Larsen & Toubro in Dubai is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to lead installation and supervision of PV mounting structures, trackers, and related mechanical components on large-scale solar projects. The role requires coordinating with multiple stakeholders to ensure QA/QC, HSE, and regulatory compliance.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering, 8+ years in mechanical engineering with 3+ years in solar PV, and strong problem-solving skills for installation/design

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 8 years of mechanical engineering experience.
• At least 3 years of experience in large-scale Solar PV projects.
• Experience with PV mounting systems, trackers and related mechanical installations.
• Strong mechanical installation/design knowledge and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Installation and supervision of PV mounting structures, trackers and mechanical components.
• Conduct inspections and quality checks against project specifications.
• Coordinate with project managers, civil/electrical engineers, contractors, subcontractors and suppliers.
• Ensure compliance with HSE and QA/QC requirements.
• Maintain progress reports, QA documentation and as-built drawings.
• Troubleshoot mechanical issues during installation and commissioning.
• Ensure compliance with applicable codes and regulatory requirements.
