Job Description :

Senior Civil Engineer

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Senior Civil Engineer to join our team! In this role, you will assist the Resident Engineer in coordinating design and construction activities.

What You'll Be Doing :

• Report to the Resident Engineer and assist in design coordination and construction of infrastructure works related to civil, road, and landscape works.
• Chair meetings with utilities agencies and other meetings delegated by the Resident Engineer Utilities.
• Coordinate activities with other engineers and members of the construction supervision team.
• Assist in reviewing shop drawings, design proposals, method statements, and correspondence related to utilities, preparing review replies for the Resident Engineer.
• Coordinate with Parsons' design engineers to resolve related issues.
• Coordinate with contractor engineers on scheduling engineering submissions, including shop drawings.
• Convene and chair meetings with service authorities, contractors, subcontractors, and other relevant parties.
• Ensure accuracy and completeness of records.
• Oversee safety procedures to ensure safety goals are achieved on the project.
• Prepare or assist in preparing weekly and monthly progress reports.
• Provide on-site direction and assist the Resident Engineer with site instructions regarding utilities and related items.
• Ensure correctness and completeness of ‘as-built’ drawings within his scope of work.

What Required Skills You'll Bring :

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering.
• Minimum 15+ years of experience in design, site supervision, and construction management of civil / road / infrastructure / landscape projects.
• Demonstrable experience in civil supervision on major road and infrastructure projects, preferably in the Gulf region.
• Ability to review and justify material submissions, analyze laboratory and technical reports, and ensure compliance with project specifications.
• Sound knowledge of contractual relationships.
• Proficiency in computer technology and relevant engineering and construction software.
• Fluency in English, both written and spoken, with excellent technical communication skills.
• Ability to maintain records and as-built documentation, and assist in utility handovers and final clearances.
• Availability to work in UAE.

• Familiarity with construction processes and industry practices.
