Job Ticket: Sr. Civil Designer – SP3D / E3D

A. QUALIFICATIONS:

• Hold a certificate/diploma in Civil Engineering and have a minimum of 12 years of experience in oil/gas onshore and offshore facilities.
• Should have at least 7 years of working experience in a 3D environment using PDMS or SP3D software.
• Must have working knowledge of E3D and SP3D software.
• Other software like AutoCAD, Microstation, etc. is required.
• Experience in field engineering activities will be an added advantage.

B. RESPONSIBILITIES / PROFILE:

Reports operationally to the Area Lead and functionally to Design Unit Head with the following responsibilities / profile:

1. Develop Site Plans and Infrastructure Layouts: Develop comprehensive site plans and infrastructure layouts for oil and gas facilities, ensuring optimal land use and functionality.
2. Perform Civil Routing Studies: Conduct routing studies for essential infrastructure components such as roads, drainage systems, and utility corridors.
3. Establish Structural Configuration: Establish configurations for structural elements such as foundations, retaining walls, and support structures.
4. Pro-active, Co-operating, and Dutiful: Exhibit a proactive approach, cooperate effectively with team members, and fulfill duties with diligence and responsibility.
5. Perform 3D Infrastructure Modelling: Perform 3D modelling of infrastructure components using software like Civil 3D or Revit to visualize and optimize designs.
6. Perform Civil Modelling Using 3D Tools: Utilize 3D tools to model civil structures and supports based on engineering studies and project requirements.
7. Incorporate Modifications and Changes: Route minor infrastructure lines and incorporate necessary modifications and changes into the design.
8. Perform Various Checks: Conduct various checks such as clash detection and compliance verification to ensure design integrity and safety.
9. Produce Civil-Related Drawings: Produce detailed civil-related drawings, including site plans, sections, and construction details.
10. Extract Drawings from the 3D Model: Extract construction and general arrangement drawings from the 3D model for use in project execution.
11. Perform Material Take-Off (MTO): Perform material take-off for civil components to ensure accurate estimation and procurement.
12. Coordinate with Other Designers/Engineers: Coordinate with other designers and engineers to ensure interdisciplinary alignment and project coherence.
13. Report Progress of Work: Regularly report the progress of work to project managers and stakeholders, highlighting key achievements and challenges.
14. Review and Comment on Vendor Drawings: Review and provide comments on vendor drawings to ensure compliance with project specifications and standards.
