Job summary

Archirodon in Abu Dhabi invites an experienced Construction Section Head - Civil to lead Civil construction activities within our Oil, Gas and Chemicals Division. You will ensure compliance with project plans, schedules, ADNOC standards, and coordinate with Engineering, QA/QC, HSE, Planning and Procurement.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, 12+ years in Oil & Gas or EPC construction, and at least 5 years in a senior supervisory position.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
• 12+ years of experience in Oil & Gas or EPC construction projects.
• At least 5 years in a senior supervisory or Construction Section Head role.
• Proven experience on ADNOC or major GCC Oil & Gas projects.
• Strong leadership, coordination, communication and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage all Civil construction activities, ensuring compliance with project specifications, approved construction plans, and project schedules.
• Ensure day-to-day operations are executed in accordance with the approved construction plan and schedule.
• Coordinate with Engineering, QA/QC, HSE, Planning, Procurement, Commissioning, and other project disciplines to ensure smooth project execution.
• Ensure the timely availability of manpower, materials, equipment, and other required resources; identify issues and implement solutions.
• Ensure compliance with ADNOC standards, project specs, applicable international codes, and HSE regulations.
• Review and approve method statements, risk assessments, work procedures, and execution plans prior to construction activities.
• Monitor progress against schedule and implement corrective actions to achieve milestones.
• Supervise subcontractors to ensure quality, productivity, safety, and schedule targets.
• Participate in construction meetings and provide technical solutions to site challenges.
• Ensure effective PTW implementation and safety in live plant environments.
• Prepare and review manpower plans, resource allocation, productivity reports, and progress updates.
• Ensure Civil works meet specs, quality standards, and inspection requirements prior to handover.
