Job summary

Penspen is hiring Construction Engineers (Civil) with proven oil and gas sector experience to manage civil construction activities at project sites in Abu Dhabi. You will ensure compliance with project specs, codes, standards and safety requirements while coordinating with multidisciplinary teams and contractors.

Ideal candidates bring a Civil Engineering degree with at least 10 years in oil & gas, including 5+ years in roles for major international projects, and solid onshore project

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering required.
• Minimum 10 years' oil and gas experience, GCC region preferred.
• Five years in similar position on major oil & gas or petrochemical projects.
• Experience with onshore projects and major projects.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and supervise site execution of civil construction activities.
• Ensure civil works are carried out in accordance with approved drawings, project specifications, and quality standards.
• Review technical drawings, construction methodologies, and vendor documentation.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, contractors, and subcontractors to ensure efficient project execution.
• Monitor construction progress, resolve technical issues, and ensure compliance with HSE and quality requirements.
• Conduct site inspections and ensure adherence to approved work procedures and schedules.
• Prepare daily and weekly progress reports and communicate project updates to the project management team.
• Experience in handling terminals, onshore fields, and maintenance hubs is preferred.
